IT IS FINALLY RAINING!
I'm normally anti-caps lock, but this is an appropriate occasion. I love the rain so, so, so much. Half of my poems/songs/paintings are about/have to do with rain.
Anyway. I've been slacking the past few days on posting.
I'm 95% done with college apps according to Ms. Burrell, which is completely amazing. I will have nothing to do over Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks. AHHHH that will be wonderful.
What else? Here's my UChicago response to the prompt "Find X."
I went to Mr. Nikoloff's seminar on the "Six Great Ideas" on Wednesday. It's part of a six-part series that will happen during long lunches throughout the year, and the first one was about Truth.
It was really fascinating, and I'd never really thought about philosophy before. I loved it, though...it was an entirely new perspective. We talked about skepticism, relativism, classicism, realm of taste, and other concepts. I think I'll go to the rest.
I've been really out of it academically lately. I've been doing well, but I, for example, completely forgot that I was supposed to present in Temas Contemporáneas today...Luckily Sr. Olivas is sympathetic, but still, I felt really badly! I mean, I forgot an entire presentation...that's what happens when I neglect my planner, I guess.
I found it sitting on the dining room table today.
Tomorrow Alice, John, and I are going to see Paranormal Activity II....YES.
I've been recording a lot of musical stuff lately, but I realized I haven't really just been playing music. As in, sight reading and just flipping through my books and binders, which I normally do all the time. Weird...
The title of this....also didn't happen. Well, Hannah and I never went thrifting. We will, though. And I'm most likely playing a beautiful arrangement of Simple Gifts for organ and piano with Michael. And zarapes--I guess that just sounded cool to add o the title. You can tell I'm just writing this blog post uninspiredly.
I'm gonna get to bed early tonight.
