This morning at class meeting we had a "heated discussion" about whether or not we should buy 200 vuvuzelas for the spirit rally during Homecoming Week. It was pretty entertaining; personally I'm against them because they're obnoxious and pointless. I already get frustrated by the noise at rallies...Then two teachers tried to bring in a moral argument against them (donate those $5 to the Food Bank; consider the toxicity of that plastic!) It was interesting.
Anyway, I love fall so much. beautifulautumnorangepurpledarkgreenbrownsapphireblackgreyburgundy. I'm so inspired by these colors. I have two lines of lyrics in my head right now: "Tie an anchor to the moon, plaster time with superglue." I think I'll make it a song about fall and its colors.
I really like this picture, not because of how i look, but because of the textures (the purse strap) and the colors (the autumnyness of it):

My senior portraits came today. I think that one big one was the largest picture of my face I've ever seen. It was almost like looking in a mirror. It's strange to examine yourself in a picture and introspectively think, "That's me." But it looks like someone else because it's external, if that makes any sense. Similar to looking at childhood pictures and thinking, "Was I that little person? How is that possible that I've grown into something else, something older? That's a picture of me..."
Araby and I are going to Noah's tomorrow (she gets food for Stats). I have to work on the UC app; once that's done, i'm pretty much DONE WITH APPS.
I painted last night. I love painting, I guess because it's so relaxing, and you're creating something while you think about everything. It's introspective and almost meditative--speaking of which, I'm going to a lecture by a Buddhist abbot tomorrow, which I'm quite excited about...
Here's that painting (it's on a pretty big poster board):

Disneyland in less than a month.
