7 Minutes in my Brain

This was an exercise we did in AP English today, basically proving whether or not our thoughts are organized.

I wish I'd had more time to do the crossword this morning. I remember there were a lot of sports-based clues, which was annoying because I never know those. Last night my dad was watching the Giants game, and I came in to get a class of ice water. I wish it would get cold again. In the sixties would be ideal. I got the water and put tone of the tapioca straws in it; doesn't cold water always taste better if you drink it with a straw and picture yourself beside an alpine stream? I am so happy that the majority of things on my to-do list are done. I've been craving an around-the-world trip lately. Not to go to cities or anything, but to see all the different biomes--tundra, grasslands, prairie, etc. APES can be an interesting class. Did I shut the garage door this morning? I don't want to get in my car today; it will be baking. I hate this weather! I love it when you can wear scarves and dresses and peacoats and tights. Then the air smells better, too. It smells almost ominous, kind of foreboding. And it's clear, I guess because the moisture in the air takes the dust out of it. I don't know. October is my favorite month.

Of course Dr. Douglas' first reaction was, "Ah, 'April is my favorite month,' said T.S. Eliot." Then she asked me why I was in California if i was such an "east-coaster." "Are your parents like this?" I told her that no, they both love the heat, and that I didn't really consider myself a stereotypical "east-coaster"--I just don't like the heat.

I think she meant that he said, "April is the cruelest month."

  1. Haha, we did this too, but we were supposed to focus on an upcoming event. I wouldn't dare post mine on a blog, though, and Dr. Paskali never saw them.
