I guess all of these sum up who I currently am.
So I'm going on a scavenger hunt through photos and facebook to touch on all the highlights of 2010 since the year is coming to a close. Prepare for longness (twss).

-My friends wrote nice things on my wall:
Joe:
Diane V is, in essence, a bamf. She not only writes cool songs, but also likes making fun of people- which is something I love to do. She may come off strong, but she has a sweet side to her (her dog is the cutest thing ever). She's just generally fun to be around, and hang with. Rock on, Diane!
Alice:
Diane is my best friend, and I wouldn't trade her for the world. She's amazing at the piano, has a wonderful smile, is hilarious especially when she's grumpy, and is quite happy-go-lucky. She's a beautiful singer too, and she composes music. She's obsessed with AP Music theory and is quite good at it. She's very honest about her opinions, and I can trust her with anything :)

DVILLADSEN,
alternatively, DIANEV,
My first impression of you was made in 8th grade in Ms. Garcia's Intermediate Spanish Honors class. Oh dear. I was pretty judgmental at the time. And nerdy. Thus, my first impression of you was that you're some random nub that didn't deserve to be in my class. LOL jk. But to be honest, I didn't think you were one of the sharpest pencils in the pencil box, at first. I don't really know how we became such good friends, but I know it all started in Spanish 3 Honors my sophomore year (yes, it's a big deal). You're one of the most interesting people I know. I think it's really cool how you already have a defined set of interests and passions that you know you want to pursue for the rest of your life. I also really admire how you invest so much of your spare time in enhancing your innumerable artistic talents, from singing, painting, composing poetry, and writing for the sake of writing, to playing the piano, sax, and guitar (and one day, the cello, I'm sure). I'm willing to bet I left a few things out, as well. You're definitely a fun-loving person who generally tries to enjoy life without stressing too much. Thoughts concerning your future may be necessitating a temporary lifestyle adjustment with the looming onus of college applications and the consequent need to prove yourself academically worthy, but I think you're handling everything very well, and I'm proud of you. On the whole, you're just a really fun person to hang out with. We have so many ridiculous inside jokes that I sometimes lose track and you have to go through the entire scenario, complete with intricate detail. I know for a fact that I'm going to miss that, being more than 3,000 miles away for the entirety of a year and potentially longer, should you choose to stay on the west. Either way, I know we're going to stay in touch and be just as close. Just don't forget to text me once in a while, okay betchh? (lol the abrupt decline in formality). I'm back from the motherland on August 5th and leave fly off to Philly on September 1st, so we're definitely hanging out at some point in that window (I'm not giving you a choice here). See you soon :)
